I am so done with this government. We need more housing ffs. Our quality of life is being destroyed by them.
Of course, another thing that would help would be to empower the Technological Universities to borrow to build accommodation. One of the reasons they were formed was to give ITs the ability to borrow more easily to help fund things like on campus accommodation. Given that many of these institutions are suburban, they have a lot of land/space to build on. Look at CIT, you could easily place several blocks around. Something like what UCD is doing at the moment.
