As my wife’s birthday is coming up on 5th December, I would like to buy her a Michael Kors wristwatch.
I have not been able to find any online stores in Norway that has Micheal Kors wristwatches except amazon.se which is obviously in Sweden and https://www.urverket.no which also appears to be operating from Sweden (pls correct me if I am wrong)
Peradventure I end up ordering from Sweden, what amount of duty & VAT am I likely to pay as the cost of the wristwatch is between 1000 – 1800 kr?
Alternatively, are there online stores which have Michael Kors wristwatches that I am unaware of??

[Gullfunn](https://www.gullfunn.no/produkter/merker/michael-kors/), for one. Googling for “Michael Kors armbåndsur” brings up more than a few hits for me.
As for importing, VAT is usually 25%, and the customs fee varies a little between carriers but you can expect to pay around 199-249,- for processing the customs for you.
If Amazon operates the same way from Sweden as they do from the UK and the US, they will collect a “Shipping & Import Fees Deposit” from you and handle the customs bit. If they overcharge you’ll get money back later.
You need to check the final price, if VAT is already included. Usually you can see it berfore clicking “Pay” (last step).
If it is sold by private, then it is possible that VAT is not included in the price and you will pay double VAT (local, let’s say Swedish, and then Norwegian). I ordered a lot of stuff from [Amazon.de](https://Amazon.de) and didn’t pay any additional VAT, but recently I ordered pants for 80 EUR and then had to pay 380 NOK more, which was not OK. But it was my fault because I didn’t double-check that VAT was already included.
Vat is included in the price on urverket. The price you see is what you pay.
I buy way much more than I’m proud to admit from [amazon.de](https://amazon.de), the price for shipping is 10 euro regardless of what you buy, and the final price includes VAT, so you don’t have to worry about that.
It is also nice that the package arrives always 2 days after the purchase, they use DHL for shipping which is really good imo.
Oh I once tried [amazon.se](https://amazon.se) but I found the variety of products available was inferior to that of amazon.de
