There are many reasons why we shouldn’t fuck with the NI Protocal, GFA or ECHR but the issue is that there is a large amount of people in society (read: Tories) who feel like they can.
The majority of Northern Ireland do not want this.
The EU do not want this.
The US do not want this.
Only people who want this… the Tories and a right wing evangelical christian fundamentalist party from NI.

The shite that the Conservatives have been talking recently about ‘everyone in Northern Ireland’ wanting to change the protocol is worrying, but expected.
Wonder what way this is going to pan out.
The present status quo is not working. The Assembly is stalled. The present arrangement is already being undermined by smugglers. Most of the Troubles were financed by smuggling and drug running.
By introducing a new framework it could provide structure that the smugglers could be punished under. The present relationship simply isn’t working, whether you agree with the Unionists or not.
Reunification is now inevitable within 20 years at most, possibly as soon as five years. Brexit assured this.
Why are the British public allowing the views of all the bigots who received fewer votes than a single nationalist party to dictate the totality of the negotiations with the EU?
