Iโm here right now and itโs honestly not bad at all. The paths going into the main arena and some of the ones around the campsite are mucky but thatโs about it.
It didnโt rain between 6pm and 1.30am last night and it was only when I came back from Tame Impala that it started pissing. Slept through it all really, the only people who really suffered are the ones with shitty tents.
Am genuinely baffled reading some of the comments on here and Twitter over the last couple of days.
Not bad here really. Just a bit of mud on the main pathways and at junctions to the woods. It rained all day on and off yesterday but stayed in the tent until half 5 and then it stopped. Gorgeous now but swamp arse lurking.
The rain only started late both nights so it hasn’t been too bad. The site has held up pretty well and it’s a grand sunny morning up here now.
Mod report from EP:
Cans out
Christ in a canoe…
if you’ve a half decent tent and gear you’re fine. I didn’t go this year and am raging, already planning next year
Iโve a relative up there with a waterproof tent and he said last night drops of rain were coming through it!
I don’t think bad tents are the only problem. Alot of people don’t actually pitch them properly and then rain gets in
โ Electric โ ๐
Back in my day (2010?)… I got hypothermia & my friend got actual trench foot. They’ll survive haha
Jaysus, that’s a hazardous situation for an electric picnic. Might just be Picnic this year.
Nice to see LadBible Ireland lifting this for their own page. Gutter journalism.
