Not gonna lie, I like the way they united (pun intended) old with new.
What a sin.
Every day we stray further from God’s light
Not gonna lie, it is not gorgeous, however my guess it that the degradation was so big that they decided to keep the facades only. I’ve seen it many times but it still catches my interest whenever I pass it
A macabre building indeed. A travesty.
Oh god destroy it.
Union of Not Very Good Architects?
Just genius. This is the answer how to have the classic European old town and a business district made of steel and glass, at once.
French here. Isn’t there something very similar in Tallinn?
The original building was destroyed by bullets and shelling 90%. The original plan was to demolish it but they wanted to build it like this as a homage to the victims of the Revolution of ’89
Fall of architecture visualized.
they should have restored the building instead, not installing a tumour to it
Yup, that’s a union of architects
Fun fact: if you go see the facade, you can still see bullet holes from the revolution
Client: We need something traditional and modern at once
Architect: Hold my beer
The question remains, how’s the quality of modern architecture in Romania? I hope that’s not the prime example of it.
It’s awful ffs
Well i think it looks cool as fuck
It’s a bit like the cousin of the German parliament building.
Totally r/ATBGE stuff
Here in the comment section you can see a number of romanians part taking in our national sport: self-flagelating and talking out of their asses how space-worpingly bad Romania and romanians are bad at everything. It’s so bad and bad, and full of baddness, no other country or people were as bad at everything ever in history, or will ever be. If we could live in hell itself we would, that’s how bad Romania is, and no argument can tell them otherwise (they will ignore them anyway).
My lord, it’s like a nice building that developed a giant cancerous cyst.
