So what will most people do when the stores close and the food runs out? The majority have been lulled into a sense of comfort and complacency and don’t know how to hunt, plant fruits and vegetables, purify water, maintain shelter, etc. Don’t get me wrong here, this is not a case for the monster that capitalism has become. It’s asking how many people could actually survive what this bit is suggesting.
If your employer is loosing money, and you ask for more…the. They have nothing to keep going for smd should fold.
Don’t get me wrong, lots of people are still making money and should psy employees more. But this is simplistic shit.
We all just need to pull ourselves up by the boot straps/S
Pumping more cash into peoples pockets now only allows prices to rise faster and will send us into an even larger inflation spiral and wont change a damn thing for anyone except those on welfare who cant just make more money so it will get far worse for them.
Clearly the solution is for everyone in the country to become a landlord. /s
They seem to be able to just increase rents every year faster than inflation: Don’t blame me that’s just the “market rate”
Where I work it was specifically said: “companies never rise the salaries to match inflation”. So no, the salary will increase just as usual.
The simplified definition of inflation that was taught in schools back in my day was ‘too much money chasing too few goods’. HTH.
Either wages go up or the cost of living goes down, otherwise revolution 🤷♂️ it’s your choice capitalism. Personally I’d prefer the latter
They should, but they won’t.
This why there making wood and guillotine blades to expensive to buy.
the problem with that is as soon as the pay rises across a larger number of companies, the prices will follow as well. Why shouldn’t you milk the cow (the worker, the person who rents, the person who want to fill their cars tank…) if the cow suddenly has more money?
While i won’t complain about more money in my pocket, the problem needs to be solved differently. I have no interest in running around with banknotes that are full of zeros. Other countries had that and most of the world had that a hundred years ago.
