  1. chope is a fucking utter cunt, there is no other way to put it

he’s a known career filibusterer and his wikipedia page reads like a checklist of regressive misogynistic and homophobic bullshit

absolutely useless waste of space in parliament and an all round vile human. one of the torys’ worst, which is an astounding achievement

  2. I can not believe it. This is entirely unexpected and no one could have seen it coming. Obviously.

  3. I don’t really see a conflict of interest here — the Partygate inquiry doesn’t involve anything relating to sexual assault, does it? Chope may be a disgusting old pervert who’s utterly unsuited to represent anyone in Parliament, but he’s the fault of the people of Christchurch, unfortunately.

  4. ‘If he’s so desperate to look at a cunt he should just take a selfie.’ Frankie Boyle.

  5. “Minister, two basic rules of government: Never look into anything you don’t have to. And never set up an enquiry unless you know in advance what its findings will be.”

  6. Ahhh my hometown MP. Unfortunately Christchurch is essentially deaths waiting room and the elderly
electorate there would sooner elect a turd in a blue ribbon than anybody competent.

Makes me sad tbh, it’s a lovely town filled with hateful, ignorant cunts.

  7. Never heard of him before but I like him for the simple fact that he seems to make the commies seethe. Imagining blocking an upskirting bill! What possible reason could he have had to do that except to piss you lot off? What a legend.

  8. I stand by this. Chope is legitimately the worst MP.

His voting record can be summed up as “how do I personally gain from this?”

    A few career highlights:

    He voted against same-sex marriage

Helped host a meeting of climate change sceptics at westminister

Raised an objection to the Hillsborough debate stating that a debate about MP’s pensions was more important

Filibustered a Liberal Democrat bill with cross party support intended to make revenge evictions an offence

Repeatedly blocking a bill that would ban the use of wild animals in circus performances

Objected to a posthumous pardon to Alan Turing

    Voted against the smoking ban

Voted against allowing terminally ill people to be given assistance to end their life

    Voted to maintain section 28

Voted against allowed same-sex couples to adopt

  9. I can’t think of a good reason to block a bill that makes it illegal to photograph women up their skirts.

Maybe I don’t understand the subtleties of the law or what goes on in the corridors of power.

But on the face of it it seems like a no brainer.

We don’t want a society where people can get away with that surely?

Is there a good reason that I don’t understand?
