Never mind whether anybody else has found anything similar: take it back to where you bought it as soon as you can. This is not normal, if that’s what you’re asking.
It’s not common, but can happen, when the machinery isn’t set up correctly or something broke during production. When we bottled our first batch of beer, some caps didn’t get on the bottle, but inside. Some customer gave us a hint and we could fix it in no time.
Tell the producers, they are going to be very thankful and might give you something in exchange.
