**Bob:** Comes from Robert, which comes from Hroþibehtaz. Hroþi, meaning fame, and berhta, meaning bright.
**Kyle:** Comes from Gaelic “caol”, meaning a narrow or strait.
**Tyler:** Comes from Old French tieulier. Meaning tiler.
**Tim:** Comes from Timothy, which comes from Τιμόθεος, meaning “honoring God”.
And then you have ones like JAN, like wtf does it even mean
Ridiculous meme. Most Polish names have western equivalents e.g. Michal (Gift from God) = Michael and most western names that don’t have a Polish equivalent also have underlying meanings…
This meme just makes the creator seem ignorant.
Lame repost. It don’t be like that at all. Almost every name has a meaning, it’s just in a different language, so:
Tim – Timothy – greek – honouring god
Tyler – french – tile maker
Kyle – irish and scoitish – narrow, sound, straight
Bob – gemanic Robert – bright, fame
This attempt at a meme is almost like a native english speaker would think, that only one language exists, things can’t anything in any other language.
I would point out that today you are much more likely to recieve a name like ‘Apple’ or ‘Bus Shelter’ than ‘Robert’

Also some Polish names translate to something less glorious, like the son of a farmer.
My name is Wojciech AMA
Favourite name is my grandmas: Mieczysława
What about Karol?
