No, Hancock was caught red handed. Boris will just do his usual of deferring and deflecting to other people until someone leaks something more concrete.
> The leader of Britain’s opposition Labour Party accused Prime Minister Boris Johnson of “taking the public for fools” by denying that members of his staff took part in a party at a time when COVID-19 rules prohibited such gatherings.
> “It’s obvious what happened. Ant and Dec are ahead of the prime minister on this,” Keir Starmer said – referring to a popular British comedy duo who have made jokes about the outcry – to loud laughter from opposition lawmakers in parliament.
> “The prime minister has been caught red-handed,” Starmer said in an exchange with Johnson on the floor of the House of Commmons.
The issue is that due to the power of the media, which is all more than happy to allow the Tories to remain in power and continue to increase their own personal wealth, even if there was completely undeniable video proof of everything Boris has ever done, the press would still swing it with the “Boris, he’s a lad isn’t he and what a perfect mate to have a drink with” and “who hasn’t wanted to do the same, let’s make sure we all vote for him again as things would be so much worse with Labour”
It’s about time that “telling johnsons” becomes a way of saying “telling lies”.
