Just got this message when I was in school. Is this an scam?

  1. Most likely a scam.

I can check the links in a test environment to see where they go but don’t recommend opening them otherwise.

Edit: Links go to laakkonen.fi which seems to be a legit cars dealership so it’s basically just a commercial.

  2. Yep, Finland is being hit hard with them at the moment. This is a good reason why our phone numbers should be private by default.

  3. Seems to legit ad. Probably someone has given wrong number or the number’s previous owner has subscribed those.

  4. Definetly a scam. They pretend to be finnish and number can also be official. Never click any links from txt messages or else.

  5. I got a text from Telia saying that my password was about to expire, and that I should follow a link and write my old password and give a new one to solve it. So, obviously I contacted the operator to let them know that there’s a scam being conducted with their name, trying to get into people’s accounts. Their answer? No there isn’t, that’s how their system works 🙈

  6. It always amazes me how companies manage to get a simple ad campaign to seem like a scam campaign. At least they didnt use bitly if thats worth anything

  7. Hei! Yt. Carita, Laakkonen markkinointi
