And people told me give it a chance before judging. Absolute scutter!
The lads writing/acting it out must know what they’re saying is awful?
The internet has destroyed comedy writing.
That was actually fairly funny. Hit the nail on the head about voice notes as well.
Was good up until the point he left the pub. There was no real punchline and it sort of fizzled out
This is what happens when you try to put internet funnies on the telly. Stupid scutter comes out and RTE just has to mess with it.
Waste of money again
I like these 2. Seen a few of their online clips. Great to see them getting a chance on RTE.
This was pretty funny too.
That was not in any way amusing.
The show is actually very good, especially considering the usual stuff rte spews out. The sketches felt like the actors had a lot of freedom to do what they wanted and not be restrained by rte execs. Sketch shows are always hit and miss and this one had no huge misses.
The voice note sketch was the weakest I’d say though, just a single joke that went on too long.
I watched til the 1st break and decided that was enough. I think I may have briefly cracked half a smile in the 15 minutes. Genuinely awful shite.
That sketch there loses it’s way within the 1st minute. Rte would have been better putting together all the best bits of the various commedians online stuff first. Looking at what works and know when to edit stuff out or end the joke.
Truly great sketch comedy knows when to end a joke or drag it out so long it becomes funny again.
Its wasnt bad at all. Resonates with me as i hate voice notes. Also cut them a bit of slack they are young lads getting better all the time.
Another generation of Irish Comedy laid to waste by RTE
I enjoyed the show, the Andrew Scott sketch was my favourite of the episode but there was some that were a bit of aiss for me. Looking forward to rhe rest of the series, it is good to see RTE try promote some of the Irish talent out there
Actually gave me a chuckle. I’m somewhat optimistic about this program
Love the podcast too, ‘Stall It with Darren and Joe’ , definitely worth a listen.
