2. I wonder whether the reason was mate’s business interests, brown envelopes or a thought that sending the migrants to the worst possible place would be more effective than sending them to somewhere reasonable.

6. I feel what is not talked about in Rwanda asylum policy is the lawyers making bank here. There seem to be interminable legal wranglings here. Shouldn’t there be a quicker way through all of this.
