Good point was made when it compared their organisation in rolling out 40,000 vaccines so quickly, but they can’t do the same to hand out money.
Extremely fucking typical. If it’s any consolation to the hardworking frontline staff in these roles, I know doctors who never got theirs paid by the actual HSE either.

Honestly from an IT perspective anything payments related plus any governement does not have a good history…. Add to the fact it’s a one off and your really looking at bad news.
Can’t exactly reach out to private companies and say “how many people did you have during covid ? Cool bro here’s x grand now don’t go mucking about and pocketing that !”
Then there’s the third party vendor option… we don’t exactly have a good history of data breaches when it comes to health care so I’d be extremely hesitant to empower a random third party to have health care workers bank details + proof of employment during covid (payslips etc ) lol
