Ancient fossils found in Colin Glen forest, West Belfast.

  1. You can find fossils on most beaches in Ireland once you know what type of stone to look out for and the tail tail signs of what a fossil looks like inside of a stone.

I myself have found fossils in people’s driveway due to them being stone chipped, found some fossilized coral just a few weeks ago in somebody’s garden that I was working in but down at my local beach I can walk maybe 20 ft and find a fossil and come home with a bag full of them.

just bring a hammer with you and start cracking open stones that you think might have fossils in them and for all you know you might end up finding a cluster of 280 million-year-old seashells like I did just a couple of months ago.

Think I have a post on my profile of the fossil I found in that driveway, but my shelf in my bedroom is full of the ones I found here in my local beach in wiclow
