FYI it’s illegal to protest against the government in general. If I went out with a sign saying “Fuck the Parliament!” I would get picked up by the police rather quickly too. See for example the guy who got arrested for having a sign calling Pritti Patel a fascist.
This current media obsession with anti-monarchy sentiments is definitely backed by rich industrialists and elites who are buddy-buddy with MPs in Parliament. Who else would stand to gain more power and influence by removing the crown, the final and only check to Parliament’s power?
From the people I saw they seemed to be arrested for insulting people at a funeral.
If someone was shouting insults at me while I bury my grandma I would want them to be removed too.
