    This is the liberal sensibilities of the professional-managerial class distilled into a sentence.

    The first is criticism (with an added insult) directed towards Zionism, which is separate from and not synonymous with the Jewish people. Zionism, like Pan-Africanism or Scottish independence or whatever it is a perfectly legitimate thing to criticise and doing so isn’t antisemitic. The second (Israel have no limits) is clearly a criticism of Israeli security policy actions. Again, a perfectly legitimate thing to criticise.

    So, while she is clearly guilty of racist comments elsewhere, I don’t think the charge of antisemitism stands up. Unless there are other tweets not quoted by the Mail.

    That being said she should probably be fired.

    Elsewhere she described Pakistanis as ‘p***s’.

    As a wee boy, I used to call the corner shops that word, then I got to my teens, realised it was a nono, but then I had friends from Pakistan have that on their bebo profile, and I thought it was the term for people from there. I’ve always steered away from it just in case and just said Pakistani as that seemed more correct. Then I went on a middle easter sub today and saw that word used more often.

    Basically, please educate me, is it a bad slur word like I think, or is it a more common word?

    Why only suspended, and why has this taken a year.

    Every case, and contact with the public she has ever been involved in , must now be independently reviewed.

    Racism is like pregnancy,

    No such thing as a little bit pregnant,

    You are either pregnant or you are not,

    same with racism ,

    You are racist or you are not,

    Sadly some people live their entire lives in fear of meeting everyone as equals.
