  1. Should not have taken this long. It’s an absolute scourge. Being at a football match and the bloke next to you has one of the gambling apps open and is just putting on bet after bet

  2. Absolutely shocking it’s taken this long. Hopefully they sort out sites banning people for winning. Absolutely ridiculous. Paddy Power gave me a free scratch card last year for Cheltenham, I won 50 quid and put it on a double that came in at 20/1. Now I’m restricted. Although I gamble fuck all so I guess once your ahead with them it’s bye bye

  3. I wonder if she will be successfully lobbied by the lobbyists, or if she will treat that disgusting and predatory industry with the heavy hand it deserves.

  4. Before this role she was Director of the Private Residential Tenancies Board, the PRTB. This state agency has been proven to be fairly toothless and ineffective.

    Expect more of the same

  5. Cool, So can we stop having our taxes going to greyhound racing now? It’s Unethical and it costs everyone here money.

  6. There should be a CGT-like tax applied to gambling winnings, increased every year to eventually make the juice not worth the squeeze.

Gambling is a drain on society

  7. Waiting for The Ditch articles incoming about how she spend last Christmas in Vegas and goes to Macau every year at expense of Paddy Power.
