In fairness, I know that stretch of road and she’s not wrong. Thing is, it’s not like we don’t have a lot of more suitable sites in and around devon and cornwall to build a whole community.
It’s a terrible headline that misrepresents the issue and a terrible photo that misrepresents the location.
It isn’t an affordable housing plan they are objecting to, but a single planning application for four houses, two of which are affordable housing – and undoubtedly the inclusion of affordable housing is a trojan horse to get permission and then when obtained an application will be made to amend the permission to remove the affordable requirement.
As for the access this narrow lane is where the developer wants to build four houses – [https://goo.gl/maps/Cn3cU5j7i2NectZq8](https://goo.gl/maps/Cn3cU5j7i2NectZq8) – yes it is the dirt track that leads off straight ahead!
Seems previous successful planning applications have created the problem, 20 houses and business’s with no improvement in the road, seems sensible put that right this time.
She do object substandard housing plan, clickbait title.
Left NIMBYs ffs.
And people wonder why London grows richer from more people visiting and moving to the city region. NIMBYism is going to kill these rural & semi rural parts of the UK. My sympathy is for the young people living in South West England, they deserve better leadership.
We need more houses, just not near me…
That lane is fine for a few more houses, there’s entire towns served by smaller roads.
