Is this for data centres or for the old lady trying to heat her house ?
If the data centers are on full power I’ll be ignoring them
I don’t understand this.
It was amazing walking home last night and seeing how many office lights are still left on. Sure there might be people working late but there’s alot of them left on.
No more ads during champions league matches to avoid a kettle surge. Everyone wins
Do electricity companies actually know what times you are using your electricity? My meter is so old has to be over 50 years old at least. I don’t buy that I could be saving money using electricity at off peak times? How do they calculate it? Maybe on a smart meter they can do it but I know nobody that has one. I will try and use less definitely and not use at peak times where possible as an act of solidarity none the less….
Refused a smart metre. I’ll be glad of that soon enough.
Here we go
Is the electricity in Ireland shared between North and south. I live in Tyrone so will it limited here too? Doesn’t make sense if we use the electric as normal in the North, while 10 mins down the road in Monaghan it’s being rationed.
I suppose the “data centres” will be turned off “during peak hours” now?
Great time to switch everyone to electric cars.
If you read the phrase “flatten the curve” it means you’re fucked
“Flatten the curve” looks set to become the mantra of the decade at this stage.
It’s jusy for two weeks i imagine. Temporary measure, like those prefab houses and classrooms.

Dear God, how far Europe has fallen. Its crazy that this small place was once the centre of civilization on the planet. Now its just a bureaucratic nightmare shambling towards its own end.
All the while people have been screaming at their leaders to NOT take the paths they’ve been taking, and now pretend like these inevitable results are a surprise?
Literally everyone: “Stop relying on Russia for oil and gas”
EU Leaders: “So how soon can we set up more pipelines, Vladimir?”
