Nicola Sturgeon vows to see off fourth Tory PM as Liz Truss tipped for top job

  1. She probably will. Truss is entering the job with minimal support from her MPs, a boatload of crises, and plummeting poll numbers. Sturgeon meanwhile doesn’t have any immediate threats to her position.

I mean, she can’t be replaced until someone else with a fish name comes along. The SNP has strict rules about this.

  2. Truss will in power for a year at best. I’m convinced she is being used to show people that Johnson was the best Tory for the job and that the party is useless without him.

  3. If so, that will be the 16th leader of a Tory/Labour/LibDem party (inc. Scottish branches) that she will have outlasted. That’s kind of remarkable.

    ___

    Conservatives: Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss
Scottish branch: Ruth Davidson, Jackson Carlaw

    Labour: Ed Miliband, Jeremy Corbyn
Scottish branch: Jim Murphy, Kezia Dugdale, Richard Leonard

LibDems: Nick Clegg, Tim Farron, Vince Cable, Jo Swinson
    Scottish branch: Willie Rennie

  4. I can’t wait for her and Nicola to meet. I hope Nicola doesn’t hold back after the disgusting things Truss said about her
