They give me the shits, 1 jar would have me shit for a whole day and night. This is not a healthy fish to eat, not fresh, breed and not hunted. Get yourself a fresh fillet and prep it like kaszubskie, will taste 20x better and won’t give you the shits.

What I hate most is that mostly in such a jar, there is approx. 40 % of herrings and rest is liquid and onion. ONION. Jar full of onion.
It’s the best to just buy raw sledzie and make them how you prefer, with more or less onion 🙂
Love it. I have one favorite company doing them here in Slovakia, and it’s like heroine 😅
