Ireland has fully embraced working from home with almost every office job offering hybrid working as standard throughout Ireland.
I don’t ever see it going back to more office than home based work for most office staff here. The multinational I work for has completely overhauled its business to accommodate WFH as the post pandemic norm.
Edit: also as a benefit it has done wonders to reduce traffic in cities and improve work life balance. Ita also allowing more people move out of the cities to rural / satellite towns.
Genuinely don’t ever want to go back to the office.
I’ve been working at my newish job for a year. I’ve been to the office twice. You literally can’t pay me to try and find somewhere to live in Dublin 🤣🤣🤣
Somewhere there is a cartographer laughing that he got to make Sweden/Norway and Finland a cock and sack.
The majority of civil servant administration workers have the ability to have blended working (>50%).
Hasn’t changed that much, Scandinavia still looks like dick and balls…
We started off at one day a week a few months ago, moved to 2 days from this week. Everyone on my team looks visibly miserable.
She’s looking very lonely there!
Jobs that advertise as WFH when they actually mean hybrid drive me fucking insane. I have to WFH, stop wasting my time!
Did COVID happen for Croatia, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria? Or do those countries just not have a lot of office jobs?
Jesus we look fair isolated when you do the map like that. We’re just floating off into the Atlantic while we all WFH.
Who cares? It’s between you and your employer.
Dumb question from a yank. If you have a shortage of housing and office space isn’t being used – why aren’t they converting office space to housing?
Ah this is the first map I’ve seen where the Uk is gone. We are very far away from Europe when you delete the uk. Guys, over here, guuuuuuys
Good for us. But this might be slightly skewed due to high number of IT and finance professionals here. Almost anyone I know who really WFH full time is in those industries. Most others get maybe a day or two WFH max.
I’d be fine with 50/50 but eome people are taking the piss now and not seen them until 6 months
I know business are trying to get people back into the office but I belive that these business are going to struggle against their competitors who have embraced WFH who don’t have to pay the costs of renting an office and get thier talent poached by the business that do.
I can’t speak for everyone but I know I would take a sizeable pay cut to WFH because the price of not getting up 2 hours earlier and the cost of commuting far outweighs the extra money.
