most people are doing quite ok. Yes there is poverty, bureaucracy and corruption but appreciate how good things are when you compare it to some countries where you are a victim of the (political) system, regime changes or war and that is happening even within Europe..
As a Belgian i feel disappointed and feel we deserve to be lower.
Why do we struggle so hard. Just be on the top of happiness?
I am curious at what place it will be during the winter
They are doing their best to change that
We also have the highest suicide rate in Europe.
But maybe that just helps the numbers.

Finland it’s number one only BECOUSE half of them already killed themselves

24th place to UAE makes this ranking “slightly” unreliable
Israel number 9? Did not expect that
And first in suicide rates in Western-Europe!
Serious note: it’s quite weird that many of these “happiest countries” also have very high suicide rates (yes including Belgium)
Any place is best as long as we beat France!
I think they asked the wrong peeps.
