I have started to get this weird spam on phone. Don’t remember giving my number on any website. Any idea what is this?

  1. No idea but I got three of them today. If you download the 112 app they notify you when there’s scams like this going around.

  2. I get em too. I just delete em. Weirdly, our numbers being public information and all, its no surprise thag spammers have access to our phone numbers

  3. As others have said, it’s a scam going on right now. I’ve had three or four of these messages. Just block the number and delete.

  4. They didn’t specifically get your number, they’re just sending out massive numbers of text messages to all possible combinations of digits in Finnish phone numbers and hoping that someone falls for their scam. The odds are in their favor.

  5. I don’t get it…How come they cannot just block these scammers? I mean, it’s going through the telephone network, so they should know exactly where these messages come from.

Little bit same thing with those Indian fake-Microsoft phone calls. How do they fake the number? Can’t we just completely cut off countries that do this shit – that’d be a good incentive for their local authorities to start doing something.

  6. I must be lucky that I don’t get these hah. I did disable that online marketing thing in Suomi.fi

  7. I haven’t gotten something like that but these have been on the Finnish news. It’s a scam. In general if something has bad Finnish grammar in it don’t trust it

  8. My mom also getting these kind of messages. Helped her out just with recommendation that she won’t be clicking any links or atleast show me before doing anything, gladly she everytime asks me about those messages. We canceled the marketing and etc things by asking DNA operator a year ago.. Probably need to do it manually itself. Sadly we use many times Posti or DHL/UPS, this may be weak point to those easily trackable numbers.

Edit2: Also thinking that could it be possible if prepaid or whatever sim-cards selling near R-kioski etc may cause also this? Maybe if you could get one number officially with ID only or passport could end this message/calls spam at all..

  9. Working for an isp here. It seems that the malware goes through your phone and possibly uses it as a ”botnet” to further use the phone and therefore your gsm subscription to send the Messages. Doesnt affect Apple tho, if you have an Android and click the link, wipe the phone immediately

  10. Those messages are from phones who have been infected by Flubot virus. Do not open those links. Just ignore and/block the numbers.

  11. Getting phonecalls from great brittain 9 times a day, downloaded call blocker to get rid of them

  12. I’ve received those as well on daily basis. The links are shady and of course won’t open them. I’m sure it’s a virus.

  13. idk if theyve tried to call you, but if they have you could try and check “kuka soitti” website (with yellow borders) to try and get some semblance of info?

  14. Started getting these friday, only thing i did different was i used the corona passport at a bar

  15. How sad that it is always foreigners that are said to be scammers. There are plenty of scumbags from everywhere. They said in the news that it is malware that has been spreading these spam messages so, there is no indication of who these criminals are. They said that they purposefully use weird grammar and characters to avoid detection. It has nothing to do with not knowing the language. Ergo, saying that it must be foreigners because the links don’t make sense is kind of stupid especially when you didn’t look into the story of these phone spam messages.

  16. i opned one with my other phone for test it hacks you phone and steals everything

i didint have anything to steal but after that my phone just shut down and opened agen
