  1. You all do. not. know. jack. fucking. shit.

Lindsey Graham got it exactly right.

    >“De Belgische Natie kiest als kleuren rood, geel en zwart,”

The Belgian constitution, art. 193, bitches!

  2. And he even has the numbers wrong. It’s 12 weeks. Hah, double got-you.

When there’s a risk for the life of the mother, or when the child will be born with an severe illness that can’t be cured, abortion can happen during the full pregnancy.

  3. Kinda shows how conservative the Belgian parties opposing abortion extension can be. Even some US Republicans are more progressive than N-VA, VB and CD&V on this issue.

  4. I always wonder how stuff like this goes down. It is *ridiculously* easy to find the right flag for a country, how do you fuck it up?!

  5. or, the republicans don’t care about losing the next elections… or they don’t care about the votes and plan on winning an other way….

  6. factcheck:

In Belgium abortion is allowed after the 14th week but it has some restrictions: you have to see a second doctor to consult with and it has to be done for healthreasons threathening the life of the mother or if the baby has serious developmental issues.

  7. Technically, this is the Belgian flag pre-1830.

So they are actually spot on, given that the GOP in the US is from the colonialist era…

  8. Well i mean they are sort of right, it was the revolutionary flag from 1830-1831, so you know it served for one year, our current one served for 191 years but atleast they are vaguely correct this time and didn’t just confuse us with germany again.

  9. Well the Belgian constitution doesn’t specify the required orientation. It just states the Belgian Nation picks the colors red, yellow and black for its flag. So they are technically correct.

  10. So I am an american who permanently immigrated to belgium. Let me just clarify the Lindsay Graham has always been hated by the american people. Our hatred for him comes from his inability to have even one intellectual thought.
