Will staggering, tripping and then falling arse over tit, count as lurching?
Tribute as in a pale imitation of the real thing?
>One former minister said: “I suspect she will go for a pretty hard Brexit, right-wing, Thatcher-tribute government”.
But wait lads, I’m so confused. Didn’t Brexit get done years ago?
From the Tory perspective isn’t that “warning them with a good time”?
I have zero expectations of Truss. Her time as leader is likely going to be best categorised as absently present. But what politicians say to get elected and what they actually do are clearly two separate things. The question is which way will she swerve? Is the Thatcherism populism for Tories that she’ll be a proper miser? Or populism for the rest of us that when it all goes to shit for reasons beyond her comprehension that we can be assured that it’s because she meant it?
How can the Tory party, as it is, lurch to the right? Death camps? Blackshirts? We already have probably the UK’s most rightwing government in modern times.
She’s going to lose badly in 2024 so she may as well milk the little time she has to the absolute max
She’ll lurch whichever way whoever she’s talking to tells her to lurch.
She has no actual principles whatsoever. She’s basically Boris without the short term memory.
What would that “lurch” even look like?
Are the current Tory government, or Truss herself, *somehow left of Thatcher?*
She’ll need to get MPs who supported Rishi on her side.
Or she’ll be a lame duck. I predict GE by November
“To the right” or “further right”?
If Liz Truss gets the job, the conservative party is dead. They have lost the plot.
Thatcher would be considered a centrist today. That’s how far the Overton window has shifted.
I’m not sure how many people have picked up on this but Liz has actually changed her voice over the last 2 years (watch some previous interviews to how she talks now), that’s a massive red flag to me! She’s what’s to be a reincarnation of Thatcher on steroids!
An interesting consequence of economic liberalism is how the children of the middle-classes are becoming working class.
If we judge ‘class’ by job/pay/lifestyle.
It’s strange how people just accept this, although no party is offering the reverse direction anyway so who would anyone vote for?
The entire party is ghastly.
With the way these energy prices are hurting everyone the Tories will get the shit kicked out of them from left AND right 😆
The papers today ( can’t remember which ones ) are briefing that she will call a Gen Election on 5th Oct !!!
If they try to copy Thatcher thats heading the left at this point.
The absolute state of our country
Stop voting for these utter knobs
Tory MPs: Don’t lurch to the right!
Truss: I won’t :3
Narrator: She did.
Truss is too clueless to realise how out of her depth she is, those supporting her know she is out of her depth and are using it to their advantage. They know schmoozing her will help get them a decent Cabinet job, so they say the right things in interviews and agree with her whenever she announces a new policy. They might even suggest their own ideas to her and convince her that is what she wants too. She is just that malleable. She would be a disaster for the country but a massive bonus for those Tories looking to make some money.
Someone better have proof of her n Kwasi being in an affair at some point. If she appoints him as Chancellor n that is true then it’ll bring her down with even the Tories.

This is not the worst government in history, no
this is just a tribute.
Lurch would be a better prime minister.
Fact.
