Remember everyone, the rise in energy is entirely due to UK government incompetence and nothing to do with Putin or the war.
It would cost 2.5 billion to meet half of the UK’s energy demand from wind turbines. Why the fuck aren’t we installing them like wildfire??
Well you see guys it’s like this, we _really_ want to turn it back on, but the only guy in the country who knew how accidentally brutally fell out of a 16th floor window after shooting himself in the back of his head, twice.
Sorry, absolutely nothing we can do.
Difficult question to answer, but why is Russia doing this whole invasion thing in the first place? I know people have argued that Putin is mad etc, but I don’t think that’s necessarily the case, I think he/his advisors have a reason.
Is it a big gamble? That he can win and Europe will eventually have to ask for the gas again? Or something else?
Remind me why we are still using oil and not nuclear power despite nuclear being the safer and greener option?
He’s a fancy dictator. He doesn’t want low gas prices to be the last thing he sees before becoming a gas station piñata.
Baldy better hope Xi Jinping gives him a good deal on all the energy he won’t be able to shift anywhere else
Oh well that’s that then. Send excrement from the other end
Russia is effectively waging war against the west via gas – at what point do we respond properly? Without turning nuclear of course. We need the US to prop up the gas supplies.
And yet, I bet EU nations and UK are importing from China, and I bet Russia now started to export to China…
These price caps are going to backfire the same way the sanctions have backfired. We never learn. Putin is doing what he’s doing because he knows the inherent flaw of western finance and economies.
We should scrap HS2 and pour the money into a Nationalised green energy company, something we all could benefit from!
“We decided not to pay them for it, now they say we can’t have it. They’re mean.”
I wonder what these politicians will say about the movement to not pay our energy bills?
Damn, people with solar panels must be happy, they’re about to have some jealous neighbours
