Covid: Millions invited for booster jabs from Monday

  1. Does it comes with free time off from work?

If not, I’m not getting it.

Oh, for those that would cry, Boosters vaccinations all makes you slightly shitty, I’m saying I’m not prepared to feel slightly shitty to then go to work and make myself feel even more worst.

  2. No thanks, it made me seriously ill and 18 months later the doctors still don’t know what is wrong with my health. Getting the jab was the worst decision of my life!

  3. I’ve had 4 so far, and i’ve had no adverse effects that i wasn’t already suffering from previously, so i’ll go for the fifth if i’m lucky enough to get an invite.

I find common ground with traditionalists and cultural conservatives on many more issues than i do with liberals, but two and a half years on from when Covid began, i still don’t understand the right’s obsession with masks, and i’ve asked some of them. They seem either unable or unwilling to give their reason. I’d go more with ‘unwilling’, i wouldn’t be surpised if it’s something along the lines of ‘they’re getting us all conditioned to become muslim’, or something even more embarrassing, ‘i want to see pretty girl’s faces!! now i can’t sometimes!!!’. 😀

It’s a bit of cloth, it blocks some of your germs from infecting others, and if these people really were right-wing, if they were traditionalist they’d be all up for national co-operation, like the Japanese are, living in their high-tech wonderland. What they really subscribe to is the US ideology, where contrarianism and a dirty, chaotic lifestyle is something that should be engaged in at all times to show how ‘free’ you are, regardless of logic or independent thinking.

  4. Protecting against **long COVID**, (not death) is the reason I’ll be having the jab if/when it’s offered to me.

There’s a few million people in the UK with long COVID now in varying degrees and seeing the videos in the clinics, those people’s lives have been wrecked and they have little information about what’s wrong, whether things will ever get better and how long that may take.

One video I saw recently: https://youtu.be/YsJr2u3V83U

  5. I would gladly have it except I am to young for it, thus not eligible.
I will probably take it in my family home country though.

  6. As we close in on double digit shots are people really going to resign themselves to being vaxed every few months for the rest of their lives rather than admitting they were duped?

  7. nah I’m good. Haven’t had any covax. I’m about 150lbs lighter than the average redditor so I’ll take my chances against a spooky seasonal flu. Already had covid twice anyway.

I remember when I was called a “granny killer” and nazi for refusing to buy into this scam. Interesting how people like to rewrite their own histories once they realise they’ve been on the wrong side.

    Climate lockdowns next!

  8. It really is astonishing to me that given all that has actually happened in the last two and a bit years there are still so many people spewing absolute crank, conspiracy, ignorant horseshit, calling COVID ‘just a cold’ and saying masks don’t work and so on.

  9. Now all da sheeple will be like “oOo TiMe tO gEt A jAb BeCaUsE a BiG mAn On Tv SaId tOo”

    Bunch of zombies and followers🐑

  10. I get the flu jab every year as I hate feeling shitty and ill, even just blocked nose and sore throat and unable to sleep for couple of nights. The flu jab is as cheap as a box of sudafed I would be popping to just treat the symptoms. Also means no missed work
