I’m at the last chance saloon , Always paid my bills , carried no debt ,my error was renting . Rent 5 years ago 700 3 bed det hse remote Connemara , 11k nearest shop and bus stop. No car . 48hrs left to find accommodation else screwed . What would you do fellow interneters . I’m late 50’s

Dont leave. Continue paying your rent until you can find somewhere.
As harsh as that is for the landlord its the way it needs to go.
Get on the county council housing list as well.
fuck. there are no good options that I can think of. only thing you can do is be a bit of a prick and stay where you are, pay as you were and drag it out in the courts (you won’t get anywhere but it’ll buy some time). the government, as bad as they are don’t have any appetite for seeing people dragged out of homes by bailiffs on a large scale. I think people should just stay put and direct the landlords to the politicians to fix it. renters shouldn’t be the only ones inconvenienced.
Did he do the notice of termination properly? It has to be in writing and provide a reason.

If not, fuck him, you haven’t received proper notice and the clock on your time to eviction doesn’t start until he does so

That’s very sad, late 50s living in remote Connamara. Would you try contacting a local branch of SVDP, I lived in rural area once and they had accommodation for people at risk of homelessness. Good luck with it, the situation is so dire, its shocking.
Don’t leave if you hwve nowhere to go.
