I’m currently waiting for some companies to give me a price for solar panels but in the meantime, I tried to check where were the « hot spots » beside the usual dryer, fridge, etc…
So I bought a half dozen connected plugs from TP-Link that are manageable through the app and here are some interesting results exactly with 30 days of use…
– The TV, along with the decoder, hard disk, 2 game consoles: 44kWh
– My gaming tower, also used for remote work: 55kWh
– My son’s gaming and video editing laptop: 50kWh
The TV had a standard to middle use, so we can roughly estimate 500kWh yearly.
My tower should be the same with an estimated 600+ yearly kWh.
My son is now back to high school so he should be less than this.
All in all, 3 plugs will range from 1200-1500kWh.
I have no yet started to talk about lights, oven, etc…

50kwh for a laptop for 30 days? I’m not sure that’s correct….
As from personal experience, FUCK Mega.. gave me an insane closing bill before the whole energy crisis even started.. cannot stress to enough people to never go to Mega..
