It goes DD-MM-YYYY here, so the answer is yes. If you kept the receipt, you can still return it if you want.
And, also, I’m not telling you to drink it, but if you aren’t going to return it, you can always check if it smells off before tossing it. These types of things often keep for way longer than their BBD.
It’s a Best Before Date *not* a Use By Date. BBD means the product has the best taste / qualities before that date but is still safe to use after that date. UBD means do not use or consume after that date. Smell it, if it stinks throw it out. If you still have receipt ask for refund.
Also, sometimes labels have a manufacture date (for their own use/ re-call purposes) with that other info.
There may be a separate/stand-alone expiry date elsewhere on the package
Just a little bit xD. But you can imagine you are living in post-apocalyptic world and this Alpro tetrapak is one of the precious remnants of the old world you knew once not so long ago… From this point of view sterilized with pasteurization milk substitute can survive more than a year after expiration date printed on the top.
From my own experience – have drunk a beverage (it was a variety of juices in a plastic bottles) which expired more than year ago according to expiration date printed on the bottle. Didn’t get even a diarrhea (however – taste was weirdly “shifted” – e.g. white grape juice had a sweet rice-alike taste with traces of grape). Haven’t tried such thing from tetrapak, but you can try out and post here your experience 😀
(Actually, no, don’t do that).
Backrooms!
It can still be perfectly fine. Although this stuff generally has a long shelf life, so one might wonder how old this carton is 🙂
Youre frajer, you should always Look at expire date while shopping
No, it’s good to be consumed. Date in the upper corner is a factory worker’s prank, they like to put their birthdays on the boxes.
We always had like 10 of them and never managed to drink all of them before expiry. Some packs expired more than 1/2 year and were totally OK.
Check label and find if it is production or expiration date.
from my experience if it isnt in non-refrigerated place for a long time, its alright
it can be a lil watery and can separate a bit, but shake it and it should be alright
of course dont drink it if it gets chunky, but if you know it, you opened it and you prolly cant return it so there is a risk
It’s expired from 2 month’s….
If you can, read into what’s on the back, there it’s usually specified if it’s BBD ur UBD and where it’s located
These dates are just very rough and usually early approximations. Smell test is best. Same with milk. If it smells good it’s still good.
Some producers use production date instead of expiry date.
I think it’s too old to be sold, so maybe it’s production date.
Dude. It literally has expire date – it shows ,,18th July 2022″. Today is 15th of September.

Those dates are [more of a guideline – just like the Pirate Code](https://youtu.be/k9ojK9Q_ARE?t=41).
Unless there’s 18+ months where you live, yes.
