  1. Brilliant, they must need the extra 200,000 or 1.5million a year to pay for energy.

Fuck my life. This Tory government under Truss is going to be worse isn’t it? Absolutely steller fucking start. No windfall tax to pay for the crisis and now this.

  2. In other news, ‘out of touch’ has a new definition in the dictionary – it’s now known simply as ‘this government’.

  3. No guys, you see, this wealth will trickle down from the top bankers and us poors will benefit MORE than these bosses. What a great and amazing step to help tackle the cost of living crisis! /s

  4. They know they have a finite amount of time left in government, so it’s time to just.. do all the shit they want to do while they still can.

  5. >Kwasi Kwarteng considers scrapping

    Interesting…

    >Kwasi Kwarteng considers scrapping bankers

Maybe a bit radical, but go on…

    >Kwasi Kwarteng considers scrapping bankers’ bonus

Nice. Maybe this new Tory government isn’t just a bunch of self-serving bastards focussed on helping the rich get richer at everyone else’s expense.

    >Kwasi Kwarteng considers scrapping bankers’ bonus cap to boost City

    Never mind.

  6. Keep this shit coming, I already get the feeling we are in the “let them eat cake” phase of society. Just fuels the dissent even further

  7. Ok so that will boost the income of bankers in that 1 square mile of London.

What is it going to do for the rest of the country

  8. A few months before Cameron became PM after Brown, my college teacher at the time said:

“Never, ever vote for the Tories. I’ve lived through it and you haven’t.”

How right he was. I can only imagine the people in the class that probably feel like mugs for voting for them.

  9. In the article it states banks are annoyed at the bonuses being capped because it forces them to pay a higher base rate.

So essentially they want to pay their workers less and have it bonus incentivised instead.

  10. Trickle down economics doesn’t work. Trickle down economics doesn’t work. Trickle down economics doesn’t work. Trickle down economics doesn’t work.

  11. We still haven’t got back the money we used to bail them out. No the tax payer had to front up for that. And now they are doing well we want to ease restrictions on their bonuses. Absolutely pathetic. The tories care about one group of people only and it’s not the tax payer.

  12. The reason the city is suffering issues is the loss of reduced access to the european financial markets.

I cannot imagine removing the cap is going to have any meaningful effect on the problems the uk financial sector faces.

Also, increasing, essentially wages, is that not a No No as it will increase inflation or does this only apply to people who cannot afford to live on their current salaries.

He should be concentrating on diversifying the UK economy and the undoubted issues of wealth inequality in the UK instead of focusing on the past.

same old, and I mean old attitudes and ideas, from the conservative party.

  13. What gets me the most is the smug look on the little fucker. This is the face of a man who takes an immense, borderline sexual pleasure in fucking you over

  14. Red wall tories waiting to be pissed on from bankers and to feel the trickle down wealth they’ve been waiting 40-50 years for

    Stupidest mofos around

  15. What do these bankers do that would justify this money aside from gamble our futures away and live lives of utterly excessive greed? Especially after 2008 and literally nobody facing consequences for what they all did. It’s completely unjustifiable.

  16. Out of touch doesn’t even begin to describe it. 🤦‍♂️

And the next election is still two years away.

  17. I’ll say it before and I’ll say it again – people like Liz Truss would view Rapture from bioshock as a success story to be emulated

  18. They’re really going all in for the steal as much as you can, wreck every good thing the UK has implemented, transfer as much wealth as possible upwards, burn down the institution around you as possible, aren’t they?

  19. Who the heck votes for this disaster of a party? All I see on online forums and news interviews is people frustrated, angry, and fed up of the Tories (and rightly so). Then how have they managed to get re-elected for 12 years and counting?!
