… And? Can I really get away from this thinking I’m smarter than a Nobel laureate because I actually know the difference between biological sex and gender?
the end
> There are people who want to change their sex, but they cannot. They remain XY or XX.
A 2017 study estimated that the incidence of Swyer syndrome is approximately 1 in 100,000 females. There are XY that are biologically women. [XY gonadal dysgenesis](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XY_gonadal_dysgenesis)
Walking right into a minefield here. Sex and gender are separate, being transgender doesn’t change your sex, and anybody who claims otherwise is denying the basic facts. Genetic differences are real, as are medical conditions.
Right now, the mainstream trend is to deduce from rare exceptions caused by medical conditions, as well as an increasing amount of people who feel they are in the wrong body, that there are an infinite amount of sexes that need to be accommodated. That is unscientific. You cannot change your genetics (at least not right now).
You can still accommodate more genders if need be, but that’s a different discussion. People mix that up on purpose and claim things like biological makes can birth children.
Note that Emma is a traditional feminist magazine of the old guard and they’re now fighting this fight. The next generation feminists have taken away the meaning and protection of women. Anybody can be a woman, they can’t even define it. That’s their ultimate issue.

I knew that too!
It’s always refreshing to see someone talking sense on this issue.
