**Note** I have tried the following on an Android phone. I’m sure there’s probably a way to get it working on iPhone, I just don’t have access to one to test.
Your phone must support eSim for this to work. You will also need a VPN (lots of free ones that work on Play store, I used TunnelBear).
1. Download the T-Mobile US app. Your Google Play is most likely set to country other than the US, so the app will show as being unavailable in your country. Instead you can google “T-Mobile US APK”. Download the APK and install.
2. Connect to US servers using the VPN and open the T-Mobile app.
3. Find a section called “Try T-Mobile”.
4. You’ll need to enter some details about yourself, these don’t have to be legit. You’ll also need to provide a legit US phone number. I used https://freephonenum.com/us to get a number.
5. Once all that is filled in you should be prompted to download your eSim. You won’t have a signal in Ireland but it will work as soon as you land in US.

Pretty good. How long does the T-mobile trial last?
Unreal. Cheers. Will actually need this for a month in Oct and was thinking how I manage this. Cheers
Also for anyone visiting the states. Don’t expect to rely on free wifi here. The infrastructure is about as useful and reliable as our public transportation.
Good tip.
It’s easy enough to drop into a T Mobile shop too though and buy a sim. Did it recently, cost $30 and took 10 minutes to set up.
Didn’t even need ID
I recommend mint mobile which uses E Sim
Here in the US at the moment using an eSim and only certain high endish phones are capable of doing esims.
[APKMirror download](https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/t-mobile-usa/t-mobile-my-account/t-mobile-my-account-9-0-1-86631-release/)
Here’s a link to the app on APK Mirror. It’s a site run by the owners of Android Police so it’s legit. Safer than downloading from some random site.
Amazing, heading there in 3 weeks. Thanks OP!
Damn it, I was in the states and paid like 45usd for 1 month and like 50gb 😔
