I’m all for a minimum wage (I’m currently payed €9/hr which sucks a*s), but I also think that it should be coupled with some form of Europen protectionism, otherwise you’re just incentivizing the delocalization of even more jobs towards places where labor is cheap like Asia or Mexico.
We got to remember that we’re in a global economy and that not all (especially China) play by the same rules…
I wish the EU wasn’t filled with ideologically possessed leftists who will push agendas that have a liberal and progressive vibe to them no matter how retarded the policy is.
I’m all for European Integration but at moments like this I wish the EU could just stop existing. Liberalization is the way forward, these politicians live in the past.
People who have never lived in a country where the legal minimum wage is 3.25€/hour (+ some unpaid hours) will never understand why we Greeks, Italians etc. welcome these news.
The European Union should help bring the high standards of living to every single country member.
It looks at least, that we move (slowly) at the correct direction.
