What really pisses me off most about this is the fact that even The Guardian refuse to ever mention about this on the front pages or anywhere other than the odd opinion piece.
> The bill removes the requirement for emergency services to be provided for everybody present in an area.
This is the complete removal of universal emergency health care and all that happens is an opinion piece.
> The bill takes this further. It gives a single budget pot to 42 new integrated care boards (ICBs) to commission most health services. **These won’t serve all people living in a local area, but a “group of people” who can be drawn from anywhere in England**. The group will be allocated to the ICB under rules made by NHS England, without parliamentary process.
> Each ICB will have “core responsibility” for its group of people. This new concept closely resembles the US definition of a health maintenance organisation (HMO). In the US, contrary to popular perception, the government funds most healthcare, much of it through private health companies such as HMOs and other “managed care organisations”. **These are responsible only for providing limited free services to a group of people who enrol as their “members”, not a local population**. They provide a core or basic package of care paid for under a health plan. **Additional services are paid for through more insurance or user charges.**
The piece mentions the fact that this has received not much attention and yet daring to point out in the comments that the lack of attention about theses feature is because none of the press, including The Guardian, have posted about this on the front pages, simply results in the comment being removed / censored and the person commenting (myself) being placed in pre-moderated status and unable to state the facts that the paper themselves are complicit in refusing to bring this to the public’s attention and only leave it to opinion pieces to say anything at all.
Seriously sick of the fact than in the past I’ve donated a small amount to help The Guardian when it’s now clear that they are fully in bed with the private healthcare services and will refuse to ever state anything, especially on the front pages, about the loss of universal emergency healthcare.
Just makes me feel that there’s no press that will ever point out the real facts to the public and that they are all complicit in turning the UK into a Dictatorship with USA style healthcare of “be rich or fuck off and die” policies
Might as well fucking off myself now. Under US rules, my prescriptions alone will cost thousands a month.
Yeah, Boris prepping to sell despite categorically stating NHS not on the table. Media is complicit for sure. Still, he’s a right laugh so let’s all vote for him next time.
I’m not sure I even do anymore. Not with all the unconscionable shit that’s been going on.
It would’ve helped if the bloody MSM weren’t fawning over Peppa fucking pig or Kermit the bloody frog but hey ho.
So fucking beyond done at this point. Supposed to be screened for a life-changing operation in Feb but if that gets cancelled/delayed/or I have to spread my fucking cheeks to scrape enough coin up to have a doctor even glance at me; I’m either going to vertically hand out a bouquet of Molotovs to Westminster or, just neck myself. Only 20 and I’m considering all of this lmao.
What a sublime little joke we’re living in
GPs wisely staying out of the debate, since they’ve operated as private companies since the NHS began. As the PM at the time said, he got them to agree to it by ‘stuffing their mouths with money’.
The population is too busy doing three jobs on zero hours contracts to find the time to look after themselves. Being able to exercise regularly is an incredible privilege.
Until the population has a sensible work/life balance the health service will be overwhelmed regardless of who is running it. Protect the NHS, work four days a week (for all)
“Distracted by pigs and illegal parties? Good now we can get on with the truly evil shit.”
This should be number one story on every paper and news broadcast in the UK
NHS left me to rot for decades, I don’t blame the people working in the NHS. But the system itself has been dog shit for years and the Tories have done nothing but make it worse. Like everything else they go near.
I said to a lot of people if you want to keep the NHS vote labour
I think it’s best everyone goes back to pan smashing that will change things.
Still astounded how many people claim to care about the NHS but patently don’t actually give a shit and just like to soapbox about it.
One of the reasons I gave up being politically active. The future worries me a lot.
Too many cunts here voting against their own interests
If you believe in a public NHS you wouldn’t vote Tory.
If the NHS is to survive in the UK, England has to face that fact.
What if I don’t think that the NHS is a religion? What if I think that European insurance systems delivery a better quality of care and better funding?
I don’t believe in the NHS, and I certainly don’t believe in alarm bells.
I love the NHS and having a tory government is like having a toddler in a razor blade lined box…
Everything this government does sets off alarm bells.
Luckily for me I don’t belive in the Government having a monopoly on healthcare.
Fuck the NHS.
These people have some serious consequences marching to them, not long.
Anything that benefits the rich is all I see from this government. Then they take 80 quid off the poor a month ha.
I often think what can we do to prevent this. So a question then is what can we do or Is there anything we can do?
And people still vote Tory like turkeys voting for Christmas.

I’m leaving as soon as I can. Sick to death.
