On stormy days like this, let /Ireland never forget the pirate story.

  1. Christ, that’s a day for being inside at home and not having to work from home, just relax with the heat on, a cuppa and doze on the couch watching some easy watching old Christmas film, maybe It’s a Wonderful Life turned down low. Pity I have to work from home though, but on the upside, at least I didn’t have to go out in that to go to work this morning.

  2. I really respect the fact they went back to edit the comment just to tell /r/bestof to go fuck themselves

  3. If I ever find myself in the unfortunate case that I’m an uncle to some kid, I will be exactly like this guy. Not out of malice, but because I have no freakin’ idea how to speak to kids

  4. I told a workmate how my unnaturally pale nephew had become obsessed with death and I’d had to sit him down and explain to him what goths were and why he shouldn’t turn into one.

She asked me why I’d told him about death, like that was part of the story. A special kind of stupid you only get from people you are thrown together with and wouldn’t really care to meet otherwise, like in a car crash, or a package holiday.
