Patel has money and contacts now, so she will be fine. She does not care about those from minority backgrounds like herself, she would sell her family if it helped her push through her ideology or made her some money. I really hope this doesn’t pass. Being a hard working, contributing member to society in the 12 years since I’ve immigrated here, becoming British this year as a result of following the rules, and now the house my wife and I own, my beautiful newborn daughter and my job won’t save me from being deported without right to appeal or notice if certain very vague conditions are met. I don’t go in for the “it’s not meant for you unless you’re a jihadi” argument either. That such a powerful law could be so vague is really terrifying to me.

Reality is vast majority of the British public dont care, doesnt matter if theyre left, centre, or right.
This doesnt affect them or any part of their identity.
If it was against something they hold dear such as LGBT or the Middle Class there would be riots
We need stronger punishments for racism, it needs to be stamped out completely and quickly. It’s a cancer in society that has been tolerated for far too long. We can’t expect minorities to integrate into a culture that is openly and covertly hostile in so many areas. We also need to abandon “multiculturalism” (I know, you hate me now). We don’t need insular communities that are apart from the rest of us, it’s divisive spin on immigration. Immigration is good, but only with integration too.
Shamima Begum was an experiment to see if anyone would care if they stripped citizenship like this.
They did not.
Does she feel that, as a BME woman, she has to be even more evil than the average Tory in order to allay any suspicion that she might be sympathetic to these groups, or is it more that the Tories use their token minority to impose policies that attack minorites in order to try to confuse the left?
