2. Is he like the American Henning Wehn? I.e. popular in their country, but completely unknown in Germany?

3. I wouldn’t describe him as a German comedian. He might be from Germany originally, but he is an American comedian who plays a German in order to be funny. He is not well known in Germany.

   However if you go to the U.S. as a German every second person shows you his videos… (the other half ask you if you like David Hasselhoff)

5. You call him a German comedian. He never appeared in any German show ever. He did not exist before and outside of Conan, afaik.

7. Can’t stand the guy, he’s just a walking cliché whose “comedy” has no real substance.

8. I do know him from his youtube videos about not getting certain English idioms or words (for example daddy longlegs). Was happy to see him hired for some dubbing gigs of German characters like on Archer rather than obvious Americans faking an accent.
