BRUNOST

  1. So my dad, red blooded American of Germany heritage, adored this stuff. How he got ahold of it in the California desert, I don’t know. Every night he’s got to the fridge, slice off a piece with his pocket knife and be content. As a kid I hated it but something tells me I might like it now I’m older.

  2. WARNING: this is delicious, but if you are lactose intolerant as I am, for the love of God PLEASE don’t over do it, this cheese is basically pure lactose and will send you to the doctor.

  3. I flew to Norway to get this cheese(can you tell I’m a foodie haha) Brunost cheese is the BOMB DOT COM. Who has cheese that has a caramel flavor NORWAY THATS WHO. If ANYBODY knows where I can get it in NYC, I would appreciate that forever. Cannot wait to visit Norway again

  4. Was in Scandinavia a while back and saw this in breakfast spreads at the hotels we were staying at. Finally tried it one day and it changed my life. Best stuff ever.

  5. Yessssssss I slice a milk brioche then toast it, lots of butter and brunost on top – delicious! I get it from Waitrose in the UK

  6. I‘m from germany and while I was in training to become a dairy technician 20 years ago the teacher brought several interesting cheeses from around the world to test. Most other trainees didn‘t like brunost but I was hooked. Wasn‘t able to get ahold of it in the following years but I have my supplier now. It is absolutely great on toasted brioche with butter and jordbær syltetøy.

  7. American here with Norwegian heritage, I grew up on this stuff and had no idea that no (almost) one else here had tried it.

  8. Tried it by itself but was not a fan. Will it taste better with something else? I feel like I’m missing something
