Hello I was wondering if anyone could help me with this family heirloom I came across. I believe it was my great grandmothers and they came to America back in the early 1900’s. My grandmother used it to hold jewelry. Has anyone ever seen something like this before? What is the picture on the front and what do the words translate to?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The picture is Ljubljana (with the Ljubljana castle on the hill), and the text says “a memory from Ljubljana” (not 1:1 translation)
It’s a beautiful heirloom, gotta say that.
You can kinda see the view [here.](https://www.google.com/maps/@46.0562606,14.5023101,3a,15y,321.13h,92.27t/data=!3m8!1e1!3m6!1sAF1QipPaWR_87hf-CwKTk2QVZGX8tBBddG3Bn4uR-xKY!2e10!3e11!6shttps:%2F%2Flh5.googleusercontent.com%2Fp%2FAF1QipPaWR_87hf-CwKTk2QVZGX8tBBddG3Bn4uR-xKY%3Dw203-h100-k-no-pi-0-ya173.78229-ro-0-fo100!7i10000!8i5000) It’s not from the same spot because street view is from the street level and you can’t really see both the castle and the building in the same way as on your photo.
The building in the middle is the one on the far right here.
Pretty. Nice work.
