Can music help integrate Estonia’s Russian speakers?

  1. Article is fake news and one can pick on about 50% of the material presented.

Best case in point “After regaining independence in 1991, Estonia granted citizenship only to those who lived in Estonia before 1940 — practically no one — and made the passing of a language test a condition for becoming Estonian. ”

Correct version would be that all whose ancestors had Estonian citizenship before Soviet occupation began in 1940, had their citizenship restored, regardless of residence or native language. Using this would throw under the bus the premise how Estonian government or Estonian are discriminating against Russians or Russian speaking majority.
Also the sentence refers that all Estonians die young, “practically no one” reaches the age 51 or older – also fake news.

  2. What music? Smilers, 5miinust or Taukar?

Most bands and artists are obnoxious, their music complete trash; how is that supposed to assist with intergration?

Either start intergrading people since the day they’re born or shut up.
