It’s the secret facility where they take you if you sleep on the bus.
Looking at the size of the property it’s either state owned, old Luxembourgish money or the owner of the entire world.
It’s the property of a former steel baron, including a house for the servants. Just can’t remember their name. must be one of the Tesch, Metz or Laval……
Edit: Or the son of the founder of the Foyer insurance company Leon Laval. Maybe some other redditors can clarify this.
It used to be the property of the director of ARBED, largest company in Luxembourg back in the day. Now the company is known as Arcelor Mittal. Not sure who owns it now, could be the same family still
Can‘t you order a cadastral extract to find out the current owner of any parcel?
Edit: This is not meant to sound rude, it‘s mesnt as a helpful tip if you need such information
It’s private property owned by old money. A friend of a friend had a birthday party there once and I got invited. For what it’s worth, the buildings were completely unfurnished on the inside
Thats mister Foyer.
It’s the private property of Francois Tesch, former CEO of Foyer and main shareholder of Foyer Group (Foyer Assurance, capital at work, luxempart, wealins,…) SES and probably of others big Luxembourgish companies
He’s the grand son of Leon Laval. His family also owned the ARBED as previously mentioned.
Yeah, you can’t make that amount of money without a already rich family at the beginning.
Apparently the owner bought all of this land for next to nothing back in the days.
Imagine the number of houses and appartements you could build there, next to the city making it a more livrable area, closer to work for a lot of people, imagine the impact on real estate (more offer = prices down). Naaaah, let’s leave the turfs to the lords.
edit : on a side note there are lots of trees so that’s actually a nice feature of this place. If we are to « urbanize » areas, let’s do it well.
