Is this dress appropriate for attending a konfirmasjon as a guest? (It is the same dress – it can be ties in different ways). Are the shoulders/back too exposed?

Imo it’s okay, especially tied over both shoulders. I would not react if a guest showed up like this to my kids konfirmasjon. And I have two kids done with theirs and another one is getting konfirmert next year.
In my family confirmations are less formal than weddings, so you might be a little over-dressed. It wouldn’t get a negative reaction from anyone though, but its not a requirement to be that dressed up if you prefer something else.
I think you look beautiful in the dress!
Some churches might find it disrespectful to show your shoulders but i doubt anyone will react negatively
You could wear anything if you wanted to. That one is just fine and works
No problem. No church would react.. lol. But- id have something to throw over the shoulders, so u wont freeze.. or a dudes jacket.
You would upgrade the celebration wearing that dress, it looks really nice on you. Make sure as Barnacle said, to have something over in case of cold weather.
Yes, it’s appropriate.
I wouldn’t say Konfirmasjon is at a galla level, but I guess its passable.
Yes, it looks really nice actually. I don’t think anyone is going to care about how exposed your shoulders/back are. You can wear whatever you want.
is the event about you?
The last konfirmasjon I attended, I strived to be as causal as possible. No complaints on that side of the scale either. Most folks are happy enough for you attending.
Should be okay imo. Also nice dress!
Yes
It’s fine. You might want to cover your shoulders if it’s in a church.
Very nice dress! I would absolutely choose to have it tied like on the second picture tho. Then its a nice dress without over doing it. Have fun!
You might be a little over dressed, maybe a pretty jacket would dress it down a notch. Beautiful dress though!
As a Norwegian, I would feel over-dressed and too exposed if I wore the dress like in the first picture, but the second option is much better. I would also wear a bolero(?) or a small, thin jacket over the shoulders.
I would say both dresses are appropriate, but if in doubt, I would go for the one covering both shoulders. The one shoulder version looks more like a bridesmaid’s dress.
This is the dress, if anyone is wondering:

It is popular for weddings as well👍
That looks lovely, and I don’t think anyone would have any issues with it.
Second option is best! First one gives me wedding guest vibes for some reason
It is very nice, but ting it over one shoulder would make a bit too overdressed for a konfirmasjon IMO. Use it over one shoulder for a wedding, over two for a konfirmasjon.
I like it!
confirm
Nope
The second option is much more appropriate if this is a religious confirmation. If it’s a civil confirmation then either one works fine.
[I can see this pairing well with a manbun.](https://www.reddit.com/r/Hair/comments/ojllrk/man_bun_with_shaved_sides_and_back/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
I would go for the second picture. The first one seems a little overdressed.
It’s a beautiful dress.
I have done it. But I had a long cardigan to hide my back, as I personally find it too open for a konfirmasjon, but I was heavily pregnant and refused to buy a dress for one day. 😊
