It really isnt. It just a hill, with a bunch of cheap/bad looking crosses.
Yeah but it’s always some satanist idiots coming in to burn it down because they can’t stand the sight of crosses and Jesus. Or they’re CCP agents targeting Hong Kong crosses
As I mentioned in the highly downvoted thread below, I may be an atheist, but I get chills every time I visit the place. Every cross has a story behind it. So many of the crosses there were placed because people were looking for glimmer or hope, a helping hand, a sign. You don’t have to be a believer/religious to appreciate the human side of that all. Hill of Crosses has a deep history, and it is worth learning about it because it is a story of resilience.

Oh yeah, I see Christ with two swords and ready to fight.
Visited that place around 6 or so in the morning, once. We arrived from Estonia and had been driving the whole night. Absolutely eerie place. There were some kind of radios or something whispering prayers there. Like multiple voices around you without certain direction, carried by wind. Made me quite uneasy.
Did they try to burn that cross???? Nah that’s disrespect
