Hei. I want to get the Gardasil 9 vaccination and according to the [link here](https://thl.fi/en/web/infectious-diseases-and-vaccinations/information-about-vaccinations/vaccination-programme-for-children-and-adults) I am a part of the national vaccine program as I moved here permanently some months ago. However I guess the program won’t allow me to get this vaccination as I am an adult(table in the link says only girls are part of the HPV vaccination program but I think boys are included in it as well since last year)

I can get the vaccine from a pharmacy myself and I checked if the it is reimbursable or not [here](https://ibb.co/XxrpD2b), it appears as no. But I still wanted to ask if there is a way to get it partially reimbursed somehow as it is quite expensive(200 euros for each dosage) Thank you in advance

  1. Boys are getting the HPV vaccinations as well, but unfortunately adults are not included in the program, so you can’t get it from the program. You can get the Gardasil vaccination out of the program, but then you have to pay for it yourself. Note also that they don’t use Gardasil in the program, but another vaccination that doesn’t provide protection against as many variants as Gardasil.

  2. Adults are not included in the Finnish HPV vaccination programme, it’s given to pre-teen girls and will be expanded to pre-teen boys in the future.
