Yeah I remember when I was a kid Kandee sauce (quite similar to Worchester) was the go too for stews ect. Yeah 87 sounds about right for the last time I saw the brand. Assumed they’d gone out of business about then.
I can taste the sugar
I was reared on it … haven’t had it about 20 years
Your local boom-time chipper would have it
This is 100% still on the market. I was served it recently in Miltown Malbay. I have seen it in both dunnes and supervalue! I’ll check this evening when I’m shopping 🤣
Wow. Unexpected blast from the past.
I can still taste it.
Take your fucking Kandee Ketchup and stick it up your arse
I saw it in a pound shop not so long ago. Try Mr. Price or somewhere like that.
This goes well with sand sprinkled on chips served in a white plastic rectangular tray.
I love how it proudly displays the fact that it contains both sugar ***and*** sweetener.
How we survived the early 90s is beyond me, sugar and sweetener in the ketchup, probably ate on plain white bread and washed down with 3 litres of country spring of a Saturday morning
We used to use this muck all the time back in the day. Then one miraculous day someone bought a bottle of Chef ketchup. There was no going back after that.
I can still remember the gunk that built up around the cap, gross.
The brown sauce was the business
Probably not at supervalue
Anyone else hate ketchup?
Kandee> chef and Heinz. My kidneys are still trying to process the delicious salt and sugar from it back in the day.

Tesco or dunnes.
I’ve definitely seen that in Dunnes but I also found it online in Supervalu https://shop.supervalu.ie/shopping/food-cupboard-ketchup-brown-sauce-kandee-tomato-1-kilogram-/p-1011455000
