My great grandfather served during the defense of Poland 1939 then he was kept in a labour camp, are there any websites where I can check which one and what happened to him after?

  1. definetly arolsen archives. they are amazing, and if you can’t find any, send an inquiry to them, they’re very good at finding documents.

  2. You may think about posting his picture on the r/OldSchoolCool.

  3. [https://straty.pl/](https://straty.pl/) has a database of victims of Nazi persecution, I found many relatives there who were forced laborers or sent to camps – I learned where they worked, which camps etc. The site does not contain any documents, only info (names, dates, places etc.), but it does tell you where the original documents are located.
