I thought Covid was nearly gone according to the WHO
Well at least their braced…..I’d wonder would it be worth saying to workplaces who can WFH to let ppl who want to stay home.
I run a team of 30 and the mandatory day in work is just ripe to cause an outbreak at some point. I almost want it to happen soon to get it out of the way.
Here we go again, blackouts , everyone’s gonna end up in hospital, no fucking bread in lidl, taxes on taking a shit. vote shinners. flatten the curve lads! flatten the bastard.
I wonder wil they follow the gemam model and impose restrictions again?

This is deranged motivation, but it would be lovely if they closed pubs again and I could enjoy my Christmas without working.
There are 15 students in my class and 8 of them dying were sick last week. Of that 8, 6 tried to come to class with fevers, etc. I had to march them out of class. Everyone seems to have forgotten they’re not supposed to be out and about when ill, but then what can they do when they can’t claim illness benefit and GNIB doesn’t care that they say “I couldn’t attend class due to illness” when they try to renew their visas.
They’ve had 3 years now to do something proactive about COVID affecting hospital capacity and have done sweet fuck all as usual.
So they can shove their warnings up their holes. The only people they should be warning is their own staff and ministers so maybe they will wake the fuck up and do something/anything.
So make a real push to role out flu vaccines (plus the adapted Covid boosters) this Autumn. To everyone not just the vulnerable and elderly, its everyone else that are the main drivers of transmission.
Whoever is coming up with these stupid buzz words, could they kindly fuck off
We could be pro active and give free flu jabs with free covid vaccine for everyone, but somehow making people pay €35 for a flu jab is the HSE brightest idea…
And with these spikes the social welfare are making people go back to the post office to collect there jobseekers ect
Maybe they should have increased hospital capacity over the last three years.
Definitely going to be getting the flu vaccine this year and hopefully they will double it with a covid booster. Makes the most sense at this point.
Given how paxlovid is being used by the HSE to treat covid patients and its known to cause rebounds of covid a few weeks to a couple months later in anyone below about 65 then yeah that may happen. Then again during the pandemic supposedly we never had the flu everyone just had covid so who knows maybe we will just have regular old flus again.
Three years to help hospitals prepare for another increase, nah fuck it be grand.
Ah, no, not this shit again. The pandemic is over, forget about it. Just like with Flu, same stuff applies, no difference. Hopefully forces WFH.
